ZINE SOFT LAUNCH for the ever morphing Accountability Zine and Online resource by select friends and fam from Stack Your Roster

Community action and accountability is healing. Abuse is not a never ending cycle. This is a demand for breaking the misogynistic cis-het dichotomy of abuse and a dedication to the survival and resilience of those touched by abuse trauma.

ACCOUNTABILITY is a resource, a letter of solidarity to fellow survivors and a reconstruction of what it means to heal collectively.

There will be a short discussion held by Chloe Cavis, followed by a moderated question and answer period.

Zines will be available at the door while supplies last. They will be made available later this month at selected venues as a resource for all.

$5-8 PWYC to help cover print costs. Non-survivors, cis-het white settlers and those NOT in financial precarity are strongly encouraged to contribute on the higher end of the PWYC sliding scale.

♡ About OUT ♡

as in letting it all hang…
as in standing…
as in out of the blue
as in going all-out
as in airing it out
as in catharsis
as in fuck winter
as in queer
as in intersectional

Out is being launched in the dead of winter 2017 by two friends who share a studio and a love for vulnerability and healing through the intersection of culture and community. We are a group dedicated the visibility of artistic expressions of realness. We believe art has the power to dismantle the white hetero-capitalist dichotomy of healing, emotional expression and survival.

♡ Safe(r) Space Info & Land Acknowledgements ...

OUT recognizes that settler colonialism broadly informs our relationship to lands. We have a responsibility to indigenous people whose territories we actively occupy and acknowledge that this event takes place in Tio’tia:ke ("Montreal"), unceded indigenous Kanien’keha:ka (Mohawk) territory.

This space is actively comitted to being anti-racist, anti-ableist, queer/trans-positive and supports & prioritizes racialized and Indigenous folks. We ask those in positions of privilege to be conscious of the space they take in this space, how they can center the feelings and experiences of BIPOC, especially Indigenous folk.

While we cannot guarentee a scent-free space, please help us keep this event space fragrance-free by not wearing any scented products, thank you!
